Best BBQ Ribs

Ingredients:

2 racks of ribs
1 1/2 TBL of freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 TBL kosher salt
1 1/2 TSP paprika
1 TSP garlic powder
1 TSP onion powder
1/2 TSP cayenne pepper

BBQ Sauce

1/4 cup plus 2 TBL dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 cups of ketchup
1 1/2 cups of apple cider vinager
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp kosher salt

DIRECTIONS

For the Ribs:  Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. Combine the Dry ingredients completely and coat both sides of ribs , pressing it into the meat.  Wrap each rack tightly in aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Put the foil strapped ribs ona baking sheet and bake for 2 hours, Cool for 15 minutes, then carefully remove and discard the aluminum foil.

Mis togeather all the BBQ Sauce ingredients and simmer until sugar is melted and sauce thickens slightly about 5 minutes. makes 3 1/2 cups of sauce.

Pre heat grill to medium high heat.  Brush the ribs liberally with the BBQ sauce and grill until the sauce starts to darken, about 10 minutes. Cut into individual ribs and serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
