You will need:
a large roasting pan
1 oven Turkey bag
my bread stuffing recipe
clean towel
Turkey 13 lbs to serve 6 20 plus pounds to serve a brewd like ours (10 plus)
1/2 stick of butter, 1/2tbls paprika 2 tbls garlic salt
salt
pepper
Start with completly thawed turkey, rub inside cavities with salt and outside with salt and pepper
Stuff turkey generously with my bread stuffing recipe
melt in microwave safe dish 1/2 stick of butter and mix with paprika and garlic salt
rub mixture all over turkey
put turkey in turkey oven bag and use zip tie
place in roasting pan
Here is the best part do all this the day before thanksgiving
put the turkey in the pan in the refrigorator
around 3am in the morning stick the bird in the oven at 300 degrees
and go back to sleep and forget about it
in the morning you will wake up smelling delicious aroma of turkey
continue to let a 13 lb turkey cook for approx 7 hours,
take out of oven and cover with clean towel this holds in the heat and the moisture
when ready to serve remove towel remove bird from oven bag letting juices run to bottom of
roasting pan collect juices into a pot to make gravy
slice turkey and serve the carcus should just about slip right out no wasted meat
I promise you this in one of the best ways to make a turkey guaranteed moist and delicious and abosolutly no wast the bone come right out almost whole once you cook your turkey this way you will never do it any other way
if you are having turkey dinner in the early evening then put the turkey in the oven in the mid morning instead either way it comes out perfect
