Ingredients:
*Uncle David’s original recipe is made with dried beef and 1/2 the ingredients (family is growing so I have doubled his recipe , I more recently (2108) , have been using prosciutto instead of dried beef and it is a BIG hit.
2 8 oz bars of cream cheese-room temp/softened
1 jar (large) of dried beef ( in the canned Tuna section) OR 6-8 strips of prosciutto chopped (abosolutey delishious and better cut of meat by far)
1 1/2 cups of chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup of finely chopped pecans or walnuts
1 medium onion diced
Directions:
Cut or dice the dried beef or prosciutto, I often use kitchen scissors to cut strips and then cut again into small squares.
Dice onion
With kitchen ninja or food processor finely chop 1 cup of pecans or walnuts
Chop up 1 1/2 cups of pecans or walnuts
Mix togeather well: chopped pecans, diced onion, dried beef and 2 8 oz cream cheese. Mold into a ball and roll in finely chopped pecans/walnuts. Wrap in cling wrap and refrigerate (preferably overnight but at least 3 hours) serve with desired crackers .
