I made this for the first time for a recent tailgating party! It was a big hit!! Nice and cool and yummy! The crust is different and delicious!
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup of finely crushed pretzels
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
1 can 21oz strawberry fruit filling (where all the canned fruit pie fillings are)
1/3 cup of thawed frozen magarita mix (where the frozen juices are found)
1 8oz container of cool whip
1 glass pie dish 9" greased
In medium bowl combine 1 1/4 cups of crushed pretzels (leaving the remainder for the top of the pie), sugar and butter, mix well and press into bottom of glass pie dish to make a crust.
combine the magarita mix and the fruit filling then fold in the cool whip, put entire contents ontop of pie crust, sprinkle remaining crushed pretzels, put in freezer a minimum of 3 hours (overnight is the best),
Take out of freezer approx 30 minutes before serving to soften but no completly, slice into serving slices and enjoy! Cover and put left overs back into freezer!!
This was a BIG hit at the tailgating party and super duper easy to make! 10 minutes tops!
