My other Mac and cheese recipe is my mom's baked recipe , this is a recipe that has become a family favorite on holidays, quick , easy and delish!! And super creamy
Small block of velveta cheese
Small block of velveta "Mexican" cheese
1/2 stick of butter
1 - 2 cups of milk
Wondra ( just like flour only does not make lumps in your sauces and gravies ) you can find it a grocery stores right next to the flour in a blue and white canister.
Past a of your choice, I love the squiggly kind or must plain on elbow macaroni (1 box)
Chop all the cheeses into squares
Mix togeather in large pot over medium high heat , stirring constantly, 2 cups of milk with 2 tbs of wondra1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of pepper and butter.
Mix until creamny cosistancy , add more milk or wondra as needed . Take off heat and add all the cheese and stir with wooden spoon until smooth and all the cheese is melted. Put back on stove top on very low heat and cover.
Make macaroni as box directions indicate drain well .
Just before serving mix in the macaroni into the cheese mixture into a large container and mix well and serve!
This is a great dish to prep early and forget about until a few hours later. Just keep a cover on the cheese sauce and be sure NOT to burn the bottom. Trick is mixing the cheese sauce and macaroni RIGHT BEFORE serving!
